Open Educational Resources (OERs) is a collection of educational material such as modules, full courses, class materials, instructional videos, textbooks, and other educational resources that is free to the public. These kind of academic resources are important because it provides a way for people who are educationally and economically disadvantaged to have access to educational material. Furthermore, it assists people in getting access to a quality education. OERs will help to mold the future of teaching and learning around the world. This will aid in changing the world into a more knowledge-based society because it will strengthen and increase the information capacity of people globally. Developed countries will not be the only ones that will have access a quality education, so will undeveloped countries as well. Education will be something that can last for a lifetime.
